Chopin plays for the, 1829 (painting by, 1887) In September 1828 Chopin, while still a student, visited Berlin with a family friend, zoologist, enjoying operas directed by and attending concerts by, and other celebrities. On an 1829 return trip to Berlin, he was a guest of Prince, governor of the —himself an accomplished composer and aspiring cellist.
