Cerberus Android

Cerberus is a complete anti-theft application, the best protection you can get to recover your misplaced, lost or stolen Android device. It's not just a 'find my phone' app or a phone tracker, Cerberus has many unique features that make it the perfect app to locate your phone or tablet, identify the thief and get back your device.

Install Cerberus and try it for free for one week, then you can buy a license for your account from within the app or from the web dashboard. It has three ways to protect your device. These are the '3 heads' of Cerberus: - Remote control through the website - Remote control via SMS (text messages) from another phone - Automatic alerts This app uses the Device Administrator permission. I cannot stress this enough but Android users, GET THIS APP! Today on the train my phone falls out of my pocket. I realize it 20 minutes later. Goodbye phone.

Luckily I have the Cerberus App for Android. This app can do everything other lost phone apps can do like lock and wipe your phone, but this one goes above and beyond.

This app can track it, text it, take front and back pictures remotely and anonymously. It can record video, record audio, it can do all that AND MORE.

It can be even hidden from the app drawer so God forbid someone gets in the phone they can't delete the app. The best part is that you can set it so that you can not power it down from the lock screen without putting in your password! I would say 90% of our lost or stolen phones reported go off the grid because people immediately turn the found or stolen phone off which cuts off the GPS and thus the taking ability. I got a pic of the guy who found my phone, and later a pic of the lost and found where it was turned in. I was able to track it to the location of the lost and found as well. If not for this app I'd have never found my lost phone. Android users.

GET THIS APP! Having recently invested a big buck in a new phone, I installed Cerberus and purchased an annual subscription to the service (really quite reasonable IMO) simply for the peace of mind that it provided.

Some of its capabilities can be tested in advance to ensure that app functions exactly as described (I did this); however, there are some commands that you would not want to test because the action could not be undone. I then installed Cerberus SMS Client on my wife's phone. Now, if I wished to do so, I could use my wife's phone to very easily send SMS Cerberus commands directly to my lost or stolen phone. By the way, the commands that I would want to send to my lost or stolen phone are among those commands provided by Cerberus. In other words, the list of commands is not too restrictive. I will, of course, be a very happy camper if I'm never required to use this app except for periodic testing. I used to love this application, it had great options to help me in case the phone was stolen.

I know better now, apparently it's easy to gain someone's account access and have it work against you. Like everyone else, a notification appeared saying my device was located, except it reappeared after rebooting the phone. After a few days of having it, I was woken up in the middle of the night and saw that the phone now also had a bright, slowly blinking, white light; I checked Cerberus on a different device and sent a request to stop tracking (tracking was enabled, an action I never requested), and the notification was gone but not the blinky light. Sent another request to stop the 'take a photo of who is using the phone' service and not only did the blinky light remained, but the notification came back! Needless to say, the tracking was also restarted. Now, feeling a bit paranoid, I disabled every setting I could have and changed the setting 'to flash the screen to take a front photo of whoever's using the phone' from transparent to black so I could notice if it ever happened. After finishing disabling everything and as I was 'stopping' the tracking once again, my phone flashed the screen black twice.
